Manuel P. Peña was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he lives with his wife. He has four children and several grandchildren. He is a lawyer graduated from the University of Buenos Aires specialized in Business and International Law. He holds a British GCE and followed courses in Economics at the City of London College. He has held several important government offices in his country and is a former magistrate. He acts as a legal advisor to Argentine and foreign firms and government officials. He has travelled widely and carried out extensive historical research work. In 2015 he published his book “Malvinas, Mito y Realidad” which was successfully sold in Argentina. With a wider scope in mind, Manuel translated into English and revised his book under the title of “The Barren Islands” to focus on international readers.

Juan Angel Pena is an Argentine national. Educated in England, he graduated in Law at the National University of Buenos Aires in 1973.He lives in Buenos Aires with his wife. He has three children and several grandchildren. Joined the Argentine Foreign Service in 1970, and served in diplomatic postings in Denmark, (West) Germany, Ireland, Hong Kong, Great Britain, Honduras and Taiwan. At the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he served chiefly in political divisions and was Head of the Direction of Sub-Saharan Africa (2004-2009). He retired in 2009 with the rank of Ambassador, and subsequently served as Director of the Argentine Commercial and Cultural Office in Taiwan (2009-2015) Consul General in Hong Kong (1990-1995), Ambassador to Honduras (1999-2004). He was awarded the Order of O"Higgins (Chile), the Distinguished Services First Class (Germany), the Grand Cross of the Order of Francisco Morazan (Honduras), and the Friendship Medal of Diplomacy (Taiwan).
