Through this story—woven from lived experiences and paintings that long to become a novel—I invite you to sling a backpack over your shoulder and travel with me to the other side of the world, to the most fascinating country I have ever called home. It is a voyage both outwards and inwards, where magic and love walk hand in hand. Yatra is a Sanskrit word meaning a sacred journey towards the divine, an intimate pilgrimage into the depths of oneself. Within these pages, you will discover secrets that enchant, uplift, and gently touch the soul. Here you will find adventures as real as life itself, told through the memories of that transformative gap year when I leapt into the unknown from a cliff edge brimming with surprises. In this landing without wheels, you will feel the rush of vertigo against your face, encounter sensory visions that awaken your every nerve, and immerse yourself in the richness of Hindu art, expanding the way you see the world. Let your body relax, melt into cool waters, and drift with the current of the mysterious Ganges. Will you join me?
