Set in 1823, this novel follows the journey of Danar, a young man from a Yoruba community who is brutally abducted during a passage ritual in Africa. Separated from his family, he is forced into the harrowing experience of the transatlantic slave trade. The story explores themes of survival, the loss of cultural identity, the endurance of the human heart, and the profound impact of destiny and faith amidst the inhumanity of captivity. Through Danar's perspective, the narrative reflects on the transformation from a free life to the despair of the unknown, highlighting the resilience required to maintain one's spirit when everything else has been stripped away.
