I´VE GOT AUTISM... MY FRIEND PONCHO
I’ve Got Autism… My Friend Poncho is an allegorical story based on the author's personal experience with their son, Aimar. Through the journey of Poncho, a cactus diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the narrative explores the challenges and milestones of a child with autism. From initial signs and clinical diagnosis to integration in school routines and social life with his peers, the story offers a sensitive perspective on acceptance, the importance of therapies, and the necessity of support systems. It serves as a guide for parents and educators to understand the autistic experience while promoting empathy and inclusion through the eyes of a child.
