Myron Weiner is a retired geriatric psychiatrist. He has authored, edited and contributed chapters to numerous professional books and has published over 200 articles in scientific journals. He has had many professional roles including clinician, researcher, teacher and administrator. He now holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas where he served as a faculty member for nearly 50 years. He has been writing poems since his teenage years; short stories in more recent years. He has four children, seven grandchildren and will soon be a great grandfather.
