Director of the Emotional Psychology Institute, PhD in Psychology, psychotherapist, Master\"s in Telemedicine, he has been a professor in various universities (mainly at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where he has been a lecturer since 2002), sports psychologist for professional athletes, trainer of psychologists in Psychotherapy since 2005, and e-learning teacher at various universities and institutions.
As a researcher, he has participated as a speaker in several international scientific conferences and has published works in various scientific journals, addressing a wide variety of research areas, ranging from emotional intelligence to psychopathology, education, sports, addiction, happiness, success, family, social skills, and conflict resolution. He is coauthor of the Clinical Personality Questionnaire for Adolescents and Adults, TAMADUL, and author of the book Schizophrenia: Maladjustment, Mental Patterns, and Family Education; furthermore, he has published chapters in books on popular science, such as Advances in the Study of Emotional Intelligence, and is coauthor of various university lecturer manuals, such as Social Skills and Communication; Developmental Psychology for School-Age Children; Communication, Information, Training, and Negotiation Techniques; and Drug Dependency in the Field of Human Security. He is a member of the Spanish Society for the Study of Anxiety and Stress and of the International Association for Applied Psychology in Soccer, among other associations with similar scientific and applied interests.
