Rojita, la velita fantástica: Rojita, the fantastic little candle

Había una vez una preciosa velita llamada Rojita que vivía con sus papás, don Rojo y doña Blanca, en Ciudad Gloria, la capital del Reino de las Mil Velas, un territorio gobernado por el rey don Velón. Rojita era diferente de sus compañeras: su familia no poseía riquezas, su figura resultaba más delgada y su color rojo brillante contrastaba con el blanco inmaculado de las demás. Por eso no la recibieron muy bien en el grupo; incluso se reían de ella y la insultaban. Se lo contaba a su mamá, preocupada, y esta siempre le decía que no les hiciese caso porque era igual de hermosa que las otras. Doña Blanca también le enseñaba cómo eran las estrellas Lucerna, las otras ciudades del lugar, cada cual con su propio monarca y todas protegidas por generales y batallones. Pero aunque estas urbes estaban bien protegidas, había algo que amenazaba con aparecer en cualquier momento y asustar a sus habitantes: el temido diablo Lechuzo. Sin embargo, aquel día no fue él la causa de la desgracia en el Reino de las Mil Velas, sino una cruenta batalla contra los Elemento.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful little candle named Rojita who lived with her parents, Mr Red and Mrs White, in Glory City, the capital of the Kingdom of the Thousand Candles, a kingdom ruled by King Mr Grand Candle. Rojita was different from her classmates because her family was not rich. Also, she was thinner and her bright red colour contrasted with the immaculate white of her classmates. Because of this, she was not very well received by her group of friends and they even laughed and insulted her. She told her mother and she told her not to pay any attention to them because she was just as beautiful as the others. Mrs White also taught her what the Lucerne stars were like, the other cities of the Kingdom, each one with its king and protected by generals and battalions... and battalions... and Rojita listened to her very attentively. Although these cities were well protected, there was something that could appear at any moment and frighten its inhabitants: the feared devil Lechuzo. However, that day he was not the cause of the misfortune in the Kingdom of the Thousand Candles, but a bloody battle against the Elements.
